The Incident: A Dangerous Assault on Student Residences

The situation began when an emergency call was placed to the police regarding an alarming assault by suspected kidnappers at a student residence located behind Nasara Estate, Tudun Kauri, Lafia. The attackers wasted no time, swiftly taking two students from the Federal University of Lafia hostage. The victims, identified as Sadiq Adinoyi and Sakina Adinoyi, found themselves in a terrifying ordeal that could have ended much worse if not for the quick response of law enforcement.

    “Following a series of technical intelligence operations, our team conducted a daring rescue mission on April 1, 2025, at around 11:30 AM. The operation took place in a dense forest located behind the 500 Housing Unit along Doma Road, Lafia,” the statement explained. The mission involved a high-stakes gun battle where the police’s superior firepower overwhelmed the kidnappers, causing them to scatter in panic. In the chaos, they abandoned their hostages, allowing the police to safely recover the students.
