Here's what the statement had to say:
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken notice of a purported timetable/schedule of activities currently circulating for the Party’s nationwide congresses. We want to categorically state that this timetable/schedule is fake and was not authorized or released by the Party. At this time, no decisions have been made regarding the organization of these congresses, and no official timetable has been issued.”
“We assure you that as soon as the party makes a decision and sets a schedule for the nationwide congresses, it will be officially communicated through our recognized information platforms. Until then, we ask that all party members, officials, the media, and the general public disregard the misleading timetable being shared.”
Recap of the NEC Meeting
It’s worth noting that just recently, on February 26, the APC held its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting. During this crucial gathering, the party reaffirmed its confidence in President Bola Tinubu, its National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, and the members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC). This meeting served as a reminder of the party’s unity and commitment to its goals, even amidst external challenges.
This clarification comes at a critical time for the APC, as the party continues to navigate the complexities of political leadership and public engagement. The party remains focused on delivering transparent and trustworthy communication to its members and the nation at large.
